Hidden Gems in the Teme Valley – Fabulous Places to Stay

Welcome to Award-Winning Hidden England Escapes

Fabulous Valley Rentals

Set in the stunning but little known Teme Valley, on the border of Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Shropshire, this is the ‘Hidden England’ of valley fields, woodlands, wildlife, a fish-filled river and dark star-filled skies.

Leave everything behind and reconnect with each other immersed in tranquil nature off the beaten track.

On our small family farm, we have personally crafted each of our three utterly unique glamping and traditional holiday homes, putting heart and soul into their stylish and luxurious eco design. One of our three beautiful and unique homes will be perfect for you. A reunion for family or friends, romantic couples needing a bit of you-time or for a young family ready to digital detox and have quality time together.

Your Hosts, Iain and Milly

This is our family farm and we have built everything ourselves. We love the Teme Valley and we have found that we love sharing our little bit of heaven with you, our guests. We are surrounded by sheep, fields, wildlife, woods and the Teme River. We are very proud of what we will be sharing with you.

Our family live here with Milly’s Mum and Iain’s Dad living here too. So alongside ourselves you will have plenty of people around to make your stay perfect. Cassie our friendly dog will be particularly keen to meet you, especially if you have children with you. Throw a ball and she is entertained for the day!

What we offer

The perfect place to stay

Caring For . . .

Looking after people and the planet is at the heart of Hidden England Escapes. It’s something we do from the outset as opposed to doing a bit of greening on the side. Being based in an outstandingly beautiful place brimming with nature, everything we do treads lightly on the earth.

A green healthy watch showing sustainability

Our Planet

Our glamping escapes generate their own electricity from the sun, conserve water with compost toilets, while heating and hot tubs use our own wood.

All our hygiene and cleaning products are reduced plastic and biodegradable and we have full food composting and recycling facilities on site.

A lovely touch is our gift to every guest of a bottle of our own organic apple juice and we encourage our guests to leave the car behind and walk the 10 minute walk to the nearby farm shop, pub and café all selling local products.

Supporting the local economy is important to us. But so is supporting rural communities in Africa, so a percentage of every booking of Hakuna Matata Safari Lodge goes to support enterprising groups of young people, women and farmers across East Africa.

Independent transport is useful here, but we can help out with railway connections and taxi booking when necessary. We are installing an electric car charging point soon.

Accessibility2

For You

Our escapes are available to everyone to book. The beautiful Teme Valley is for everyone, and we do all we can to ensure that everyone can access it and enjoy it.

The glamping Escapes are accessed along a grass track suitable for a wheelchair user, but each Escape does have 2-3 steps onto a deck after which all rooms are on the same level. Bathroom grab bars can be supplied for most bathrooms.

Lammas Barn does have two steps after which the large open plan kitchen, living and dining are all on one level and are fully accessible for all mobility aids and vision ability. However, bedrooms and the walled garden are all accessed by stairs.

In the end of the day, we are here for our guests – to come and have a fabulous time. Understanding and accommodating your needs is a priority for us. We are always learning how to do this better.

Frequently Asked Questions

You can book your holiday escape either online via our simple website booking system, or if you prefer, you can phone us on 07970439927.
If you’re having any problems booking your preferred dates in your favourite escapee, please give us a call and we’ll be happy to help you if we can.

We will of course try to organise a viewing for you, but because of the nature of holiday letting, we will need to find a time that’s convenient for you, when the escape isn’t occupied. If you have any specific questions or needs relating to your holiday, or something about the escape, then you can always give us a call and we’ll do all we can to help you make the right choice.

We will happily make a provisional booking for a holiday escape for up to 24 hours to give you time to decide, or to talk to any other guests. Please be aware that we can only do this for you once, and the reservation will expire after 24 hours if the booking is not confirmed within this time.

Yes! Our Lammas escape is centrally heated and double glazed, and makes a wonderful cosy base over Christmas and New Year. Because it’s a very popular time of year for holiday lettings, you will only be able to book for a minimum of 4 nights over the Christmas/New Year period.

Our escapes are perfect for short lets of up to 28 days at a time. They are fully furnished and all bills are included in the rental price, so they make a great option if you’re looking to stay in the area for work; while your own home is undergoing renovations; or between house moves. If you’d like to discus the possibility of a longer stay at Hidden England Escapes, please call us on 07970439927.
